The Goodbye to WoW rant

Feeling a bit melancholic now, just logged on WoW and said goodbye to those few I found online... This included an old friend, a few guildies from The Templar Order and some few horde folk here and there. Out of perhaps 200+ people in all my friend-lists, only 6-7 were online on different servers...

One of them begged me not to go...

And the reason I decided to leave WoW was that no-one ever was on any longer anyway. Of the people I started playing with, my oldest buddies, not one remains, of those that joined after, only a handful. Two and a half year of WoW left me with an empty world...

Although I can't really know what you’re going through as honestly I’ve only really had one close friend that I stick with throughout all my MMO exploits, you have my sympathy all the same.

Instead of thinking that you’re leaving WoW and leaving friends, perhaps think that you’re starting a whole new experience. You’re going to make lots of new friends and have a lot more good times. In just a few weeks you’ll be with us online and having a blast.

This is a new beginning, a new chance and a new dawn…

You know what, your public confession of losing friends has made me feel like I haven't been socialising enough on MMO's. I need to take advantage of the time I have!

I hearby pledge to have at least 200 50 (Edit: Lets start off easy actually, most I've ever had on my friends list is like 8 people... and 3 of them were alts of the other 5. ) on my friends list after the first month (Edit: Again, a little too "big". After all you need to learn to walk before you can run...) first couple of years.

Ah well ive played multiple games (and MMO's) with both of you, and Im looknig forward to starting a new game with you! (In a manly way)

i found it hard to make friends on WoW considering most of the people on it were, well, not very nice people. even in instances people only said things like, "i need that blue for my alt". prety dull. but strangely the only mmo ive made friends on is runescape with my friends list maxed with 200 friends, everyone playing seemed easy to talk to and prety nice hope AoC is like that, and i hope everyone is loyal to the guild too. considering i expect a lot of RP social events and situations in-guild and involving other guilds

Well, talking is nearly the only thing you can do in runescape *winks*

I've always been stuck with a small group of people I play with, planning to be more open this time

My coup de grace has yet to come in WoW.

I am drastically playing less now then I do before. Joining for some BT and MH.
