When the official release. Then what?

How will we RP? I mean, we can't enter Kathia.

Will everyone in the clan be out on foot on some mission?

Hmmm. yeah you've got a point I would say dont RP kathia until its started construction, but that could be a while. any other ideas?

I would recommend that some kind of incident has occurred in Kathia.

A selected amount of the top clan members have been sent out on a mission to gather resources to finalize Kathia. In that matter that something got destroyed or something.

Or, just a large scale mission of some kind.

Kathia could have been destroyed and it's members scattered (since we are heretics, a religious purge from other religious zealots could be the cause). We must build a new Kathia, find a location and start all over again. This could also explain how many outsiders come to join us, since we all of a sudden are thrown out into the world again.

I suggest we start the game as missionaries then. It explains why we are not in the city and fits with the storyline. When we build Kathia "it has been there" all the time. Buildings not yet built were lost in the "earthquake." After all, any city would have a population beyond the few of us...

That said, if we rp the city we might get the question "where is it?" The answer should always be "up in the mountains".

Generally, the city is there, we are just out spreading the word of Dyma and Damak, in truth out recruiting. Those of us who are simple soldiers act as the escorts and crusaders of this most dangerous and holy of quests. Generally, using this as an excuse grant us rp material, new people and a good excuse.

I think we're aiming for biding our time until we have Kathia built, then roleplaying that it's been there for 20 years.

The beginning plot will be this:

Just a mere week before the release of Age of Conan Kathia had been under siege for over a month by a group of tribes from the north eastern regions of Khoraja, finally being able to fight off the barbarians the New Dawn is left with a dwindling population, extremly low food storages and a city full of disease spreading corpses. In order to prevent more from getting sick only the healers that take care of those that are already infected are allowed to stay within the walls, the rest are sent out on missions to gather more people for the New Dawn aswell as materials and food. None are allowed back into the city before the epidemic has been taken care of and all the corpses burned.
