Character background:
The Following takes place about 18 years ago:

The night was closing in and Netikerty was looking out the back of her parents ox cart, they had been on the road since early morning and was now closing in on their destination, Kathia. Her farther was a tradesman and her mother was a librarian, and they had heard of this new city, infact the beginning of a new nation, and they were looking for somewhere to get a fresh start. They where originally from Set, her mother working in the library of the “church” and her farther doing small time trading in the about regions. Netikerty herself was 8 years old and didn't really get what was going on, all she knew was that her parents had taken her away from all her friends to start a new life in this new city. Her mother had met one of their scholars in the library and had come to talk with him, he had told her a little about some twins and her mother had invited him to stay at their house for the duration of his stay in Set, this was almost a year ago now. When he had left< her parents had started discussing the opportunities of moving there to join House of The New Dawn, as they felt that this was more a place for them then the Stygian society of oppression and slavery. And now they were almost there, she was thinking, what is going to happen to me when we get there. She had asked her mother and she had told her that she would get new friends and a new chance to go above what they, her parents, had been able to in Set. She weren't to happy about it but had come to live with the thought cause there was not much else she could do. And the gates came closer and closer.

(in the following paragraph I am going to talk for people who is actually already a part of the house these people reserve any right to redirect this if it don't fall in their taste and I apologise for any offence or inconvenience it might cause)

from approximately 2 years later and onwards:
Around Netikerty' 10th birthday, her parents was approached by the Dorini of lore, who informed them that Netikerty was going to be enrolled in her clan. For the first few months of her training there weren't that many complications with her fellow students, but as the training proceeded and they grew older the gap in age became more and more visible. Netikerty became more of a loner spending large amount of her free time studying old tomes from the library, containing story' and legends about magicians of old and new practising all sorts of magic, both light and dark. When she started studying tomes containing story' of necromancy she became strangely fascinated by the mystical powers they seemed to posses. But she was also frightened of what her dorini might do if she found out she was studying these things, so after some time she put her study' of these arts aside. The weeks turned into months, the months turned into years and the training went on.

(about the age of 16)
At one point she was assigned to a training mission, she was supposed to go out into the wilderness around Kathia and test her skills against a wolf and bring the body home. She went out there, looking for a track she could follow and she found it just as she had been taught, she followed it as far as a large lake where it ended in a stream. She looked around and saw something stirring in a bush about twenty meters away, she slowly went closer. When she reaches the bush she peered inside and discovered a set of wolf cubs in there, in the same instant she heard a menacing growl behind her and she knew what was going to happen now, she drew her sword in the same motion that turned her around to face the she wolf. They stood there face to face, then without a warning the wolf attacked her, Netikerty tried to defend her self with her sword, but her grip slipped and the sword hit the ground. She panicked and started running back towards the stream but the wolf was right on her heels snarling and trying to bite her legs, when she reached the stream she ran right out into it stumbling forward over the slippery stones, her feet failed her and she fell. The wolf was over her in a second, Netikerty was screaming, suddenly she felt her hands acting on their own reaching out touching the wolfs chest emitting a rather larger amount of energy. The wolf fell down landing on top of her and she passed out. When she woke up it was dark all around her, she started to push the wolf of her put pulled her hands of it almost at the same second as she had touched it, and she started screaming, the wolves skin was moving creeping around. Netikerty pushed the wolf' corpse of her and started crawling away from it in the direction of Kathia, she slowly got on her feet and started running towards the lights she could see in the distance not thinking about her sword or her mission not thinking about anything but the safe place she knew was there in front of her. When she reached the gates she screamed out for them to open, they looked down and saw her standing there covered in mud, most of her clothing soaked from the stream water, they opened the gates for her, and she ran inside running straight past the guards towards her barrack.

((Good application although I have to agree with Perennial, there's no active roleplay before you got accepted and the name is ok but not great. Welcome anyhow... ))

I like the ambitious start, but would like to have some real RP before aceppting you into the Lore clan. When you werre younger you'd probably been under the tutelage of Lapis predecessor - Lapis is in her late 30:s (even if graphics don't really show age well in the game)

I will write a response shortly - I am kind of busy atm.

Netikerty fell asleep, shuddering under her thin blankets in the dark of her barracks. Eventually the freezing cold turned into humid warmth and the day disappeared into hazy dreams. Suddenly she woke up, at first believing she was back in the stream, the wolfcarcass atop of her. She could feel the ice on her blanket and the smell of old, stale blood. But the ice was on walls too, not mud.

At the foot of her bed sat a small, thin woman. Her face was marred by Stygian slave tattoos, she must be the young Dorini of the Lore Clan. She wore a threadbare tunic torn at the neck, so her bird-thin collarbones were visible - they were tattooed too.
The musty smell came from her.

"I heard about the wolf"
The womans voice was surprisingly male.
"I am here to talk about fear."

After a slight delay the woman spoke again, you could hear the scornful smile on her lips.
"Do you fear the Unclean? Or do you fear the Unknown more?"

*Netikerty looks out from under her sheets, catching a glimps of Lapis,
she pushes the blanket aside and sits up, inspecting the older woman closely*

Neti: I am hungry, and what happened with the wolf? is it dead?
and have thye dound my sword. i think i lost it when the wolf attacked me"

Netikerty didn't really look frightened but more tired, dark bags was hanging under her eyes,
but the eyes themselves was filled with fasination.

Lapis licks her dry lips before speaking again.

“What is the sword and the wolf to you? The sword is a crutch – the staff that a crone leans upon. I know nothing of the wolf, but why should it scare you now? A wolf is like your hunger and is inconsequental. It can be defeated.”

She drew breath, observing Netikerty.

"With your sword-crutch you can defeat flesh and spirit, but with your mind they both can be subjugated at will, if you know the secrets.

We all know some secrets that helps us control others and the world, but to learn the really secret secrets you need to sacrifice all and to be very, very afraid. And to face that fear. What little secrets have you learned of the world, that helped you survive this long, Banthalos? Or are you here merely through the weak pity of others?"

Flakes of ice fell from her thin robes as her body shook in demented laughter at some private joke.
