Emotes and custom emotes

Example of what the script does:
The text before: gives a lapdance wearing high spiked heels
The text after: *Ayranych gives a lapdance wearing high spiked heels*

open youf /age of conan/scripts folder
right click
select "new txt file"
Create it, name it "em"
open it.

Write the line, exactly as this:
/say <font color="#ffcc33">*%m %**</font>

save it, close the file.

Now, wheneever your in the game, and you write /em you'll get the option to choose em.txt, do so and then write your text.

Voilá, your done.

Been using it for a while, and seen others use it too.

I do feel that this can be overused (even by my yes). Using your collored emote to draw attention is good, but using it for everything can become annoying, especially if you use hard collors like bright red (like I saw in the Serpent's Head recently).

Fully agreed, the colour code above is the "yellow" colour for the record.

Wanted to add.
If you remove the .txt extension from your file (make sure your windows shows the extension), then you can just do /em something and it will work too. Saves you the time to type the extra .txt every time (plus it feels more natural).

I also removed the %m in the script, because it looks kind of silly having your name in the text too. In game it looks like
[Anamara] *Anamara gives Junia a lapdance*
which is kind of redundant, so without the %m it becomes
[Anamara] *gives Junia a lapdance*
After all, you don't write your name in your emotes now either.

I put my color to a soft orange, just because I'm used to seeing emotes like that in Wow

Been using that for awhile too since Anamara sent me the script.

I put my emote color soft pink!

Thanks for the suggestion Anamara, i've edited my own emotes so that they don't include my name anymore.
