Regular meetings?

Our guild exists for several weeks now, and there had been only 1 meeting so far. I ran into only one member, which ic'ly I wasn't supposed to know.
Junia and I have reached the point in our rp now where we discovered the city, only to find it empty. which is a pity. What's the use in building a city if there's never anyone there?
So this is what I propose.
We'll have a short gathering every 8 days. During that gathering, the Dathanar (or one of the Dorini) can indicated what's needed for the next city project (thus keeping us up to speed on the progress and on what we need to be looking out for); if there are events planned, we can announce them there too (for those that don't read the forum). New Theroshans can get their ceremony. And of course, it's a way to meet some of the other members and have some rp with them. It also gives that castle a purpose, since it's now just sitting there empty.
Yes, I know everyone still in Tortage cannot get to the guild city, but I still think our city is the best place for that meeting. And since the Tortage part is rather fast, they should be able to attend the next one easily.
Why every 8 days? Well, that would make the meeting shift one day forward every week, preventing that people who can't make it on a certain day in the week (like me, I don't have access to my powerful machine on Saturdays, for instance) from never being able to attend and feeling excluded. So let's say we start this Sunday, then the next one will be on Monday (not the day after, but a week further of course), then Tuesday the next week... (I think you get the point).

This sounds great. The only problem I would have is that my Availabilty is extremely random, and I don't have a set time when I'm available, for example, On a Saturday I could do an all-nighter, but on Tuesdays I hit the sack at around 10. Also, If you say for example, you chose 9PM, and the meeting was 9PM, It could drag on until 10-11PM.

I'd rather have a set time, sure some would miss out, but it's always there for you the next week. Another clan of mine has a practice on saturday, at 8GMT, and usually 80% of the clan come. So I couldn't really take a vote, due to the fact, one day I might be available at 5-11, but then the next I'm only available from 8-9.

I agree, i'd like to see the guild getting in motion and the city getting built quicker. I understand its costly but donate people! I like the idea of every 8 days too, it makes a lot of sense for those players that might be at work or something. I went for 9pm, so thats 8pm where I live because I usually eat at 7GMT though the times not too big a deal for me, I can always eat at my comp (most of the time).

As for RP around the city, I think we need more structures raised to be able to RP well. Another thing is that the actual cities appear to be highly uninteractive at the moment which is something I hope improves. Another suggestion i'd like to make is to keep focusing on recruitment. More members = more potential IC encounters + larger meetings and events, and on top of that, a bigger chance that one day we might even get our own battlekeep! one day...

The idea of the poll is to see what would be the best time for most, and then fix that. And since the day isn't fixed (as in a specific day of the week), there bound to be one you can come to sometime.
the idea of the 8 days is to prevent, as you say, it always being on Saturday (for instance), causing some (including me) to be unavailable for all of these. If it rotates through the weekdays, missing one isn't as bad, you might be able to catch it on another day.

It might be a good idea to have these meetings not only in our city, but also in different locations around Hyboria. That way, our guild gets exposed to the other roleplayers, which I think is something we need.
